1983- The parable of the “boiled frog”
Peter Senge, in his book The Fifth Discipline, includes the parable of the “boiled frog”
to speak about the Organisations 7 learning disabilities, the quote below:
Why?
Because the frog's internal apparatus for sensing threats to survival is geared to sudden changes in his environment, not to slow, gradual changes”.
Like the frog, people's internal apparatus for sensing threats to "survival" only detects sudden changes in their comfort zone, but not the gradual one.
