'ఇండియాలో అధికారం నీచులు, ధూర్తులు, దోపిడిదారులకు చేరుతుంది. నోట్లో చక్కెర, కడుపులో కత్తెర లాంటి నేతలు దాపురిస్తారు. అధికారం కోసం వాళ్లలో వాళ్లు కొట్లాడుకొంటే, ఈ సంకుచిత రాజకీయ ఘర్షణల్లో ఇండియా పరాజిత అవుతుంది'- భారత్ స్వాతంత్య్రానికి ముందు బ్రిటన్ యుద్ధసమయ ప్రధానిగా చర్చిల్ చేసిన భవిష్యద్దర్శనం అది. దాన్ని అక్షరసత్యంగా నిరూపించే క్రమంలో అన్నిస్థాయుల్లో విక్రమించిన శీలహీన రాజకీయాలు ఇండియాను అత్యంత అవినీతి పూరిత దేశాల జాబితాలో ఇప్పటికే చేర్చేశాయి. 2004 సార్వత్రిక ఎన్నికల దరిమిలా కేంద్రంలో యూపీఏ భాగస్వామిగా లాలూ కుదురుకొన్న పదిరోజుల్లోనే ఆయనపై గల ఆదాయానికి మించిన ఆస్తుల కేసును ఆదాయ పన్నుశాఖ అప్పిలేట్ ట్రైబ్యునల్ నీరుగార్చేసింది! నేరాభియోగాలు ఎదుర్కొంటున్నవారిని మంత్రులుగా తీసుకోరాదన్న రాజ్యాంగ నిబంధనలేవీ లేవని సుప్రీంకోర్టులోనే అనైతిక వాదనలు వినిపించిన ఘనత మన్మోహన్ సర్కారుది. అర్నాల్డో అలెమాన్ (నికరగువా), పావ్లో లాజరెంకో(ఉక్రెయిన్), అల్‌బెర్టో ఫుజిమొరి (పెరు), జీన్‌క్లాడ్ డువాలియర్(హైతీ) స్లొబొదాన్ మిలోసెవిక్ (సెర్బియా) లాంటి దేశాధినేతలంతా జనం డబ్బు దోచిన నేరాలకు శిక్షలకు గురైతే, ఇండియాలో ఏ స్థాయి అవినీతి మోతుబరినైనా శిక్షించడం బ్రహ్మ ప్రళయంగా మారింది! కాంగ్రెస్ ప్రతినిధే విలేకర్ల సమావేశంలో చెప్పినట్లు, నేరచరితులకు అండగా నిలిచే ఆర్డినెన్స్ నిర్ణయం- సోనియా, మన్మోహన్, రాహుల్‌గాంధీల 'ఉమ్మడి వివేచన' ప్రకారమే జరిగింది. సద్వివేచన శీలిగా రాష్ట్రపతి దానికి మోకాలడ్డుతారని తేటపడ్డాక- రాహుల్‌డ్రామాకు తెరలేచింది. కళంకిత నేతలు లేకుంటే తన కూటమి అస్తిత్వమే ఉండదన్న భయంతో- సీబీఐ లెక్కల ప్రకారమే రూ.43వేల కోట్ల అక్రమ పెట్టుబడులతో అవినీతి జగతిని సృష్టించిన జగన్‌ను కాపాడటానికి హస్తంపార్టీ తాపత్రయపడుతోంది. ఈ అవినీతి చెదను తుదముట్టించడమే లక్ష్యంగా జాతిజనులు సాగించాల్సిన మరో స్వాతంత్య్ర పోరాటానికి వచ్చే సార్వత్రిక సమరమే నాంది.

Rulers of various countries, like Arnaldo Ale-man (Nicaragua), Pavlov Lazerenko (Ukraine), Alberto Fujimori (Peru), Jean Claude Duvalier (Haiti), Slobodan Milosevic (Serbia) et al were properly punished for indulging in corruption, but in India- punishing a corrupt politician is a Herculean task! On account of 2004 general elections, within 10days of Lalu joining the NDA in centre as a partner, his case of amassing assets beyond known means of income was diluted by the Income Tax Appellate Tribunal.
As revealed by the congress representative in a meeting with the media persons, the ordinance to protect the corrupt/ criminals among politicians had the joint approval of Sonia, Manmohan and Rahul. Since it was evident that the astute President would not approve the ordinance, the curtain was raised for Rahul’s drama. With the fear that, the Alliance will not exist without the support of the tainted leaders, the ‘hand’ party is struggling in protecting the corrupts like Jaganmohan Reddy –who created a corrupt domain of his own, with Rs.46,000 Crores (as estimated by the CBI, but may be more) of illegal investments.
People have to start a fresh struggle for independence, to eradicate these white ants of corruption eating into the vitals of our country, by using the vote as a weapon in the coming elections!
