1318 - Step It Up!

Walking an extra 2,000steps (approx.1.5km) daily can reduce your risk of heart disease and stroke, according to a British study in 'The Lancet'. The study included 9,306 adults from 40 countries with impaired glucose tolerance (IGT) and cardiovascular disease or at least one cardiovascular risk factor.
IGT is a precursor to type 2 diabetes and effects nearly 344million people worldwide. People with IGT have a considerably increased risk of cardiovascular disease.
