ATTITUDE:

Ø The market for shoes: A shoe company wanted to expand its business to a country in Africa. In order to assess the level of demand for their shoes in that country, the director of the company deputed two separate teams there. After a study of 2months, one team sent a report that there was no market for shoes in that country as no one wore shoes. The other team concluded that the place had a great market potential because no one wore shoes.

Attitude is anchor to soul, stimulus to action and incentive to achievement. Things don’t change. You change your way of looking. That’s all. The meaning of things lies not in the things, but in your attitude towards them. We don’t see things as they are; we see things as we are. Attitude, more than aptitude, will determine our altitude. You’ve either got a good attitude or a bad one. The choice is up to you.

“The law of happiness states that

The quality of your life is determined by how you feel at any given moment/event. How you feel is determined by how you interpret what is happening around you, not by the events themselves.”

No one can insult or hurt you without your permission. One of the golden keys to happiness and great success is the way you interpret events which unfold before you. Highly successful people are master interpreters. People who have attained greatness have an ability which they have developed to interpret negative or dis-empowering events as positive challenges which will assist them in growing and moving even farther up the ladder of success. There are no negative experiences only experiences which aid in your development and toughen your character so that you may soar to new heights. There are no failures, only lessons.

R.E.C.A.S.T your Attitudes:

Rediscover yourself, people and situations around you for the strengths/talents/opportunities.

Exert to learn and develop.

Compete only with yourself, so that you try to be better today than what you were yesterday.

Appreciate others for all the good things that happen to you through them.

Stop complaining. Be a part of the solution, but not of the problem.

Take time to plan and organize the daily routine.

GEMS

Though I might travel afar, I will meet only what I carry with me, for every man is a mirror. We see only ourselves reflected in those around us. Their attitudes and actions are only a reflection of our own. The whole world and its condition has its counter parts within us all. Turn the gaze inward.Correct yourself and your world will change.

  • The only difference between stumbling blocks and stepping stones is the way in which you use them.

  • We are injured and hurt emotionally,

Not so much by other people
or what they say and don't say,
But by our own attitude
and our own response.

  • First, all relationships are with yourself-and sometimes they involve other people. Second, the most important relationship in your life-the one you have, like it or not, until the day you die-is with yourself.
  • The world is a looking glass. It gives back to every man a true reflection of his own thoughts.
  • Attitudes are more important than facts.
  • Life is the movie you see through your own eyes. It makes little difference what's happening out there. It's how you take it that counts.
  • Reality is what we take to be true. What we take to be true is what we believe. What we believe is based on our perceptions. What we perceive depends on what we look for. What we look for depends on what we think. What we think depends on what we perceive. What we perceive determines what we take to be true. What we take to be true is our reality.
  • He can who thinks he can, And he can't who thinks he can't. This is an indisputable law.
  • Perception is a mirror not a fact. And what I look on is my state of mind, reflected outward.
  • Our ultimate freedom is the right and power to decide how anybody or anything outside ourselves will affect us.
  • A difference, to be a difference, must make a difference.
  • It's your attitude not your aptitude that determines your altitude.
  • Naturalness is the easiest thing in the world to acquire, if you will forget yourself-forget about the impression you are trying to make.
  • If you think you can do a thing or think you can't do a thing, you're right.
  • I am the master of my fate. I am the captain of my soul.
  • Men are disturbed not by things that happen, but by their opinion of the things that happen.
  • Attitudes are the forerunners of conditions.
  • Our job is not to set things right but to see them right.
  • All personal breakthroughs begin with a change in beliefs.
  • It's not the events of our lives that shape us, but our beliefs as to what those events mean.
  • Things do not have meaning. We assign meaning to everything.
  • If you don't set a baseline standard for what you'll accept in life, you'll find it's easy to slip into behaviors and attitudes or a quality of life that's far below what you deserve.
  • Things do not change; we change.
  • There is nothing either good or bad but thinking makes it so.

ATTITUDE, ABILITY, &MOTIVATION:

Ability is what you are capable of doing.

Motivation determines what you do.

Attitude determines how well you do it.
